The general effect of microneedling
The AquaPen uses wafer-thin needles to open microscopically small channels in the skin to greatly increase its absorption of active ingredients. Various serums are used during the treatment and the active ingredients penetrate through the channels into the deeper layers of the skin, where they take effect
By "opening" the skin, its self-healing process is activated, which makes the skin glow. The increased regeneration helps to reduce various skin problems such as acne, pigmentation spots and scars.
At the same time, elastin and collagen production is stimulated, making the skin firmer and more resilient and visibly reducing wrinkles and fine lines.
The special feature of the AquaPen
As with most other microneedling pens, the AquaPen offers three needle types for treating different skin conditions:
The 12-needle attachments are equipped with 12 wafer-thin, 1.5 mm long stainless steel needles and are ideal for use on acne, pigmentation marks, (acne) scars and stretch marks.
The Nano HR needle attachments are used for moisturizing, brightening, tightening and pore refinement. They offer 130 rounded needles and have a length of 0.15 mm.
The Nano-HS needle attachments provide you with 81 silicone needles with a length of 0.1 mm. You can use them to treat sensitive areas of skin, redness, wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes.
In addition to the extensive application options, the needle attachments of the AquaPen stand out from other microneedling pens thanks to a special feature: the needle cartridges are also liquid containers with automatic serum application. The desired serums can be added directly to the needle cartridges (up to 3 ml). In this way, the skincare product is infused deep into the skin as soon as the needles penetrate. This ensures up to 90% better absorption of active ingredients and prevents wastage of the skincare serums.
Full control - from start to finishIn addition to choosing between the needle cartridges and your treatment benefits, you can also adjust the penetration depth and speed of the needles.
Using the dial with practical scale, you can quickly and easily set how deep the fine needles should penetrate the skin. The possible range is 0.1 to 1.0 millimetres.
The currently set speed level can be read off the small screen on the AquaPen at any time.
