These needle attachments are sterile disposable items. As microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that is intended to injure the skin, the use of sterile disposable materials is mandatory according to hygiene regulations (e.g. HygV BW §2 para. 3). The used sterile needle attachments must not be reused after use.

Instructions for using the Casmara Activator Pen Microneedling System
Preparation
- Wash your hands:
- Before starting the treatment, you should clean your hands thoroughly with soap and water to minimize the risk of contamination
- Cleaning the skin:
- Cleanse the skin area to be treated with a gentle cleanser to remove make-up, dirt and excess sebum. Then use a suitable disinfectant to disinfect the skin

- Preparation of the skin care products:
- Make sure you have a suitable serum or microneedling solution ready to treat your specific skin concerns (e.g. hyaluronic acid for hydration, vitamin C serums for brightening).
Setting up and starting the Casmara Activator Pen
- Setting the needle length:
- Depending on the skin area and the desired treatment goal, you can adjust the needle length of the Casmara pen. The optimal needle length is usually between 0.25 mm and 2.0 mm, depending on the skin thickness and sensitivity.
Shorter needles (0.25 - 0.5 mm) are suitable for superficial treatments, such as fine lines and pores.
- Longer needles (1.0 - 2.0 mm) are ideal for deeper treatments, such as acne scars or pigmentation spots.
Switch on the device:
- Press the pen's on/off switch to activate it. Some models have multiple speed settings - choose the right speed depending on your skin type and area.
Performing the microneedling treatment
- Treatment method:
- Fill the selected serum directly into the syringe of the Crystal Mesotherapy Injector device. This allows the serum to be injected precisely and directly into the skin via the needles during the treatment, which significantly increases the effectiveness of the treatment.
Hold the device at a slight angle and move it over the skin in smooth, circular movements or in gentle, straight lines.
- Each skin area should be treated for around 2-3 minutes to evenly distribute the micro-stitches and optimally penetrate the active ingredients into the skin.
Zone-oriented work:
- Forehead: Guide the pen in horizontal and vertical lines across the forehead.
- Cheeks: Work on the cheeks with gentle pressure in circular movements.
- Nose: Work carefully along the bridge of the nose and in the nostrils, where the pores may be particularly enlarged.
- Chin and jawline: As with the forehead, in straight lines or in circles across the chin and jawline.
- Eye area: Avoid direct contact with the sensitive eye area. Instead, work carefully near the eyes without getting too close to the eyelids.
Pressure and speed:
Apply light pressure to the pen. The microneedling pen should glide over the skin without being pressed too hard.
Work at a lower speed level for sensitive skin.
After the treatment
- Soothing the skin:
- After the microneedling treatment, the skin will be red and irritated. Apply a soothing serum or cooling mask to calm and moisturize the skin. Make sure that the products do not contain alcohol or fragrances to avoid irritation.
- Skin care after the treatment:
- Avoid direct sunlight for at least 24 hours after treatment

- Apply a sunscreen with a high sun protection factor (SPF 50) when you go outside to protect the skin from UV rays.
- Do not use make-up or aggressive skin care products such as retinol or acids (AHA/BHA) for the first 24 hours.
- Cleaning the Casmara pen:
- Remove the needle head and clean it thoroughly with water

- Then disinfect it again with 70% isopropyl alcohol.
- Let it air dry before storing it away.
