The papain enzyme contained in papayas is said to have a calming, anti-inflammatory effect. Its natural exfoliating properties loosen dead skin cells, smooth flaky areas and clarify the skin. Papain also stimulates cell renewal.
Zinc oxide reinforces the anti-inflammatory and soothing effect of the gentle peeling, which is therefore also suitable for blemished skin.
The third active ingredient is kaolin , which is known as porcelain clay. The natural mineral is particularly popular in cosmetics due to its so-called "blotting effect".
