HIFU is a cosmetic ultrasound application for tightening the skin, in which the skin layers are heated in a targeted and gentle manner right down to the depths by means of targeted bundling of high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU = High Intensity Focused Ultrasound). During the heating process, tissue is destroyed and then broken down by the body. This creates the so-called shrinking effect.
The ultrasound waves of the HIFU stimulate the body's own healing and regeneration processes and stimulate the entire tissue of the skin, so that in addition to the visually immediately improved skin appearance, deep-seated deficits and skin anomalies are treated at the same time.

The basic signs of skin ageing on the face are caused by loss of volume and sagging tissue. The skin reacts to the stimulation generated by the latest HIFU technology by producing new collagen and elastin , thus counteracting the loss of elasticity.
Of all the non-invasive treatments for face lifting and wrinkle reduction, HIFU is one of the most effective methods. In addition to the deep structures of the skin, the ultrasound waves also affect the SMAS (= Superficial Musculo-Aponeurotic System). This is a fiber system that lies close to the skin. This ideally firms the fatty tissue and tightens the facial muscles.
In the cosmetics industry, this is colloquially referred to as a simple, painless facelift of the skin, which can be applied to all sagging areas of the body. However, it is mainly used on the cheeks, eyebrow line, forehead, neck, double chin, décolleté and upper arms.
