HIFU is a cosmetic ultrasound treatment for skin tightening, in which targeted bundling of high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU = High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) heats the skin layers deep down in a targeted and gentle manner. As the tissue is heated, it is destroyed and subsequently broken down by the body. This results in the so-called shrinking effect.
The HIFU ultrasound waves stimulate the body’s own healing and regeneration processes and stimulate the entire skin tissue, so that, in addition to the immediate visual improvement in the skin’s appearance, deep-seated deficiencies and skin abnormalities are treated at the same time.
The fundamental signs of facial ageing are caused by a loss of volume and tissue sagging. The skin responds to the stimulation generated by the latest HIFU technology by producing new collagen and elastin and thus counteracting the loss of elasticity.
Of all non-invasive treatments for facial lifting and wrinkle reduction, HIFU is one of the most effective methods.
