HIFU is a cosmetic ultrasound treatment for tightening the skin, in which the high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU = High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is targeted and gently heated deep into the skin layers. During the heating process, tissue is destroyed and then degraded by the body. This creates the so-called shrinking effect.
