What is SHR (Super Hair Removal)?
SHR stands for Super Hair Removal and is a modern method of permanent hair removal. It is a further development of IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology and enables gentle and painless treatment. -
How does SHR work?
During SHR treatment, high-intensity light is emitted in short pulses. Unlike conventional IPL, however, the light is emitted several times in succession so that the skin is heated gently and evenly. As a result, the hair follicles are destroyed in a targeted and gentle manner, while the surrounding skin remains protected. -
What advantages does SHR offer compared to conventional IPL?
SHR offers several advantages compared to conventional IPL. These include a faster treatment time, a gentle and painless application, greater effectiveness on different hair and skin types and a lower risk of side effects such as skin irritation. -
For which areas of the body is SHR suitable?
SHR can be used on almost all areas of the body, including the face, legs, arms, back, chest and bikini line. It is a versatile method of removing unwanted hair. -
How many treatments are required for lasting results?
The number of treatments varies depending on individual hair growth and skin type. As a rule, several treatments are required to achieve a lasting result. Most clients require around 6 to 8 treatments at intervals of 4 to 6 weeks. -
Is SHR suitable for all skin and hair types?
Yes, SHR is suitable for most skin and hair types, including fair to dark skin types and fine to coarse hair types. However, SHR may not be equally effective for all clients, so an individual consultation prior to treatment is advisable. -
Is SHR painful?
Compared to conventional IPL treatments, SHR is generally less painful. Most clients describe the feeling during treatment as a warm tingling sensation on the skin. A cool gel is often used to cool the skin during treatment and minimize possible discomfort. -
What preparations are necessary before SHR treatment?
Before an SHR treatment, the area of skin to be treated should be clean-shaven. It is recommended to avoid sun exposure and self-tanning in the weeks prior to treatment to reduce possible skin irritation.
