Block files and buffers are among the classic tools used in manicures, pedicures and nail modelling. They are particularly suitable for smoothing, matting and preparing the nail surface and, depending on their grit size, can be used for various stages of the process.
Buffers for natural nails and nail modelling
A nail buffer is primarily used for working on the nail surface. Depending on its grit size, it can be used for gentle roughening, smoothing or as preparation prior to applying gel, acrylic or nail varnish.
Finer buffers are more suitable for the final fine-finish, whilst coarser versions are more geared towards preparing and matting the surface.
Block shape for even application
Thanks to their compact, usually multi-sided shape, buffer blocks fit comfortably in the hand and can be guided evenly across the nail surface. Depending on the model, several sides may be available with the same or different grit sizes.
The choice should always be based on the specific nail type and the stage of the procedure.
