Why is steam sterilization considered the safest method? Because it is highly effective at killing bacteria, pathogens and microorganisms, thus reducing the risk of infection to a minimum.

The class B autoclave generates steam in the sealed sterilization chamber, which is then placed under high pressure. As a result, the steam reaches even higher temperatures and becomes a highly effective sterilizing agent that is suitable for numerous materials.

Which instruments/materials is the Class B autoclave suitable for?

To make using the autoclave class B as easy as possible, you can choose between 6 preset sterilization programs. However, if you prefer to make the settings yourself, you can use the manual program.

Thanks to different pressure levels and sterilization temperatures, the programs are specialized for different material properties:

• 2 solid programs (121 °C or 134 °C)
  Instruments made of firm, solid material such as forceps and scissors.
• 2 Porous programs (121 °C or 134 °C)
  For objects made of solid material such as tweezers and objects made of porous material such as textile products.
• 2 Hollow programs (121 °C or 134 °C)
  For objects made of solid material such as tweezers, objects made of porous material such as textile products and hollow objects of type A and type B such as cannulas and tubes.
• Manual program
  Here you can adjust the settings such as temperature, pressure level and sterilization time yourself.

If a material is not suitable for treatment at 134 °C, select the 121 °C variant.

Additional features for easy and safe operation

Selecting the programs is child's play with the simple button system. And thanks to the small display above the buttons, you can check the progress of the sterilization process at any time.

During the process, the internal temperature and pressure level are continuously monitored by an automatic safety system. If one of the two values rises too high, the device is automatically switched off and the power supply is interrupted.

If required, you can also activate the integrated printer. This logs the ongoing sterilization processes and prints a report at the end for your documentation.

And also very practical: the class B autoclave has an automatic start function that allows you to specify when the device should perform sterilization. Simply select the day and time you want the program to start and look forward to completely hygienic materials for your treatments!

A really worthwhile investment

In May 2024, a new hygiene regulation came into force in North Rhine-Westphalia, which could also be enforced in other federal states: Invasive instruments may only be sterilized with steam sterilizers of type-B autoclaves from May 2025.
