How does a class B autoclave work?
A type B autoclave uses pressure and steam technology. Steam is first formed in a sealed sterilization chamber and then pressurized, allowing the steam to reach higher temperatures. This increases the sterilization performance against bacteria, pathogens and microorganisms on many materials.
Which instruments/materials is the autoclave class B suitable for?
This autoclave has 6 preset sterilization programs for super simple operation. However, there is also a manual program where you can set the parameters yourself.
Due to various temperature settings and pressure levels, the device can fully sterilize numerous materials:
If a material is not suitable for treatment at 134 °C, select the 121 °C variant.
Additional features for simple and safe operation
The autoclave is controlled via an easy-to-understand keypad and a compact display on the front of the device. The display also allows you to track the progress of the ongoing sterilization process
.At the same time, an automatic safety system ensures maximum protection by continuously checking the temperature and pressure level of the sterilization chamber. If the temperature or pressure is too high, the process is automatically stopped and the power supply is interrupted.
The integrated printer documents the sterilization process and allows you to print out the protocol. It can be activated or deactivated as required.Are you on the road but need sterilized tools when you return? Then the automatic start function is just what you need! Simply select the day and time you want the device to start sterilization and look forward to fully sterilized instruments when you enter your studio or practice.
A truly worthwhile investment
In May 2024, a new hygiene regulation came into force in North Rhine-Westphalia, which could also be enforced in other federal states: Invasive instruments may only be sterilized with steam sterilizers of type-B autoclaves from May 2025.
