How the laser enables permanent hairlessness
The laser of the SkinTechBeauty 4W Model 3 is absorbed by the melanin contained in the hair (the natural color pigment of hair) and guided to the hair follicle where the hair root is located. Depending on the skin color and thickness of the hair, a corresponding laser wavelength is required. With the SkinTechBeauty 4W Model 3, however, this does not matter as the device uses four wavelengths simultaneously and can therefore treat all hair and skin types without any problems.
The heat of the laser beam causes the hair roots to be "obliterated" and their activity to cease. The treated hair falls out naturally and does not grow back.
The laser only has this effect on hair that is in the growth phase - the anagen phase - which corresponds to around 20 % of all hair. Therefore, each client must be treated several times to remove all the hair.
Treat all skin types quickly and easily
As mentioned above, the 4W Model 3 uses four different wavelengths simultaneously, unlike other devices that are limited to just one wavelength. This feature allows you to welcome all skin types I-VI according to Fitzpatrick - and therefore many different clients - for laser treatment.
The four laser wavelengths affect different hair properties, which complement each other perfectly in this SkinTechBeauty device:
755 nm: is ideal for treating light-colored and fine hair. The laser (also known as alexandrite) has a more superficial effect than the other wavelengths and ensures top results for hair that is not deep-seated, such as on the upper lip.
808 nm: The most well-known wavelength of 808 nanometers (also known as diode laser) also enables the treatment of darker skin and targets thicker hair, such as on the arms and legs.
940 nm: This wavelength (also called diode laser) provides an additional thermal effect that improves the effect of the treatment. This means that (naturally) red hair with a low melanin content can also be treated.
1060 nm: The 1064 nm wavelength (Nd:YAG laser) easily reaches even dark, deep-set and thick hair. This wavelength also enables the treatment of dark skin types (type V).
The wavelengths are emitted simultaneously via the high-quality handpiece so that every hair - regardless of its characteristics and the client's skin type - is treated effectively in the anagen phase.
