However, comprehensive training and regular refresher courses are required by law before use. After all, this is a complex technology that can cause serious physical harm if used improperly. With the NisV expert module Laser Safety Officer according to TROS and OstrV, you can deepen your knowledge and are always up to date in terms of lasers.
The NiSV training for all laser classes (3B, 3R, 4) is an application-oriented course according to TROS 1-3, DGUV11 and OstrV . There you will learn the physical basics of laser radiation and learn more about its properties and quantities. How optical radiation affects tissue is also part of the training, as are the basics of system technology.
Of course, safety aspects are not neglected either. Experienced NiSV instructors will teach you about risk assessment - limit value determination, laser safety and laser protection such as skin and eye protection, and will introduce you to the tasks, responsibilities and instruction protection of a laser officer. Last but not least, you will learn the legal basics on the subject.
At the end of the training, you will take a multiple-choice exam. Whether you are taking the NiSV specialist module Laser Safety Officer in accordance with TROS and OstrV for the first time or undergoing the refresher course required by law after 5 years: the doctors and lecturers at the academy are there to help and advise you.
