Using the DeepWave supports the body's natural fat loss process. The device triggers a "droplet formation" - in short: the fat becomes more fluid, making it easier to be removed by the lymphatic system and excreted via the kidneys.
The device uses 2.45 GHz microwave energy to generate heat in the adipocytes (fat cells), causing the fat cell membrane to become unstable. The membrane expands, causing continuous cell protrusions ("droplets") to form until the membrane dissolves and the fat cells are destroyed. The contents of the destroyed fat cells can be optimally excreted naturally by the body.
Once destroyed, the fat cells cannot regenerate. The fat in the treated area remains reduced for a long time.
The advantages of microwaves compared to radiofrequency energy
What makes DeepWave so unique is its targeted effect. Compared to other energies such as radiofrequency, which focuses on the skin layers for collagen synthesis, the 2.45 GHz microwaves are mainly absorbed by the fat layer and have less effect on the skin layers.
