Fat removal with cavitation (round cavitation handpiece)
The ultrasound energy is directed into the skin via the round cavitation handpiece. The handpiece is moved evenly over the skin. This causes localized fat deposits to heat up and vibrate until the fat cells become permeable and dissolve. The fat turns from solid to "liquid" and can be broken down naturally by the lymphatic system. Cavitation only has this effect on fat cells - the surrounding tissue and muscles are spared. Additional effect with radiofrequency (overlay handpieces)
