The laser function principle of the SkinTechBeauty 4W diode laser model 2
Like all laser hair removal devices, the laser in the SkinTechBeauty 4W diode laser model 2 targets the melanin (natural color pigment) contained in the hair in order to reach the hair follicle. With other laser devices, the wavelength used plays a major role, as only certain skin types can be treated depending on the wavelength. However, with the SkinTechBeauty 4W diode laser model 2 you have no such restriction, as this device uses four different wavelengths simultaneously. In this way, the device can treat any hair that contains melanin - in other words, all natural hair colors except for gray/white hair.
The heat of the laser stops the activity of the hair root. This effect is only achieved on hair in the anagen phase (growth phase). This is about 20 % of the hair, which is why several treatments are always necessary per customer. After the treatment, the lasered hair falls out and does not grow back.

Each of the four wavelengths has different advantages from which you can benefit:
Fine and/or light hair that is not deep in the skin is treated by the more superficial 755 nanometer wavelength (known as the alexandrite laser).
The well-known 808 nanometer wavelength (known as the diode laser) works excellently on slightly thicker hair on the arms, legs or beard line. It is also effective on darker skin.
An additional, focused, thermal mode of action is achieved with the 940 nanometer wavelength (also called diode laser), which further improves the results of the treatment and enables the treatment of (naturally) red hair. For very dark skin and/or thick, dark and deep-set hair, the 1064 nanometer wavelength (the so-called Nd:YAG laser) ensures permanent hair removal. It also achieves first-class results in the intimate area or armpits, where hair is particularly stubborn.
