Become a skin professional with the specialist module 1 "The skin and its appendages".
Since the legally prescribed NiSV specialist knowledge came into force, you also need extra knowledge on the subject of skin in order to be allowed to operate certain devices. The training courses are mandatory unless you have five years of professional experience by 05.12.2021 or you are a state-recognized or certified beautician or master beautician. The NiSV Academy's specialist module 1 "The skin and its appendages" provides you with the right tools for your daily work.
Both medical and non-medical applications are taught in this module. In a total of 80 learning units , you will gain comprehensive knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the skin and its appendages. To enable you to study from the comfort of your own home, 28 units are taught online in e-learning mode.
You will learn more about the different skin types and the degree of pigmentation and find out everything you need to know about patophysiology and skin appendages, such as hair development, the different types of hair and the hair cycle. Experienced lecturers will also teach you about anomalies and possible factors that prevent treatment. The effects of non-ionizing radiation and its use, as well as the equipment for it , are also on the agenda. And, of course, you also need to know how to explain various applications, risks and effects to customers .
With the specialist module 1 "The skin and its appendages" , you will be well equipped after passing the exam and will be able to treat your customers optimally. The NiSV Academy also offers the four other modules as specialist training courses. You can find them in our online store.
The module "Fundamentals of the skin and its appendages" is the basis for the specialist modules.
Under what conditions am I exempt from the basic skin module?
The module is not required if you have one of the following professional certificates:
- Training as a state-certified beautician
- Training as a state-certified beautician
- Master craftsman's examination in the cosmetics trade
- have at least five years of professional practice in the cosmetics industry on December 5, 2021

Exemption from the specialist knowledge module "The skin"

Successful participation in a training course with the learning content of the module "Fundamentals of the skin and its appendages" is not required if a person
1. has successfully completed a state-recognized vocational training course to become a beautician,
2. has successfully completed a course of training as a state-certified beautician,
3. has successfully completed the master craftsman's examination in the cosmetics trade or
4. has at least five years of professional experience in the cosmetics industry on December 5, 2021
The date on which the respective condition under points 1 to 4 is met is deemed to be the reference date within the meaning of Section 4 (3) sentence 3. If this date is before December 5, 2021, this reference date is deemed to be the reference date instead.
Please note that both the virtual and on-site training courses are full-day courses.
The examinations take place on a separate date at the certification body's locations.
