3D HIFU is a new application of ultrasound. With the help of high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), the layers of the skin are specifically heated down to the depths.
At a depth of 1.5 - 16 mm, the sagging skin structure is significantly tightened by targeted heating (the so-called shrinking effect sets in).
This is a comparable effect that is also used in a surgical facelift. The energy release triggers a natural regeneration in the skin. Increased activity of fibroblasts occurs, which responds with new collagen and elastin formation.

During HIFU treatment, highly focused, intense energy waves are delivered to the depths of the skin layers. The highly effective HIFU procedure originates from medical applications and is now an extremely popular treatment in apparative cosmetics, also known as lunch-time lifting.

Is the HIFU procedure safe?
The HIFU procedure itself has been used since the 1990s, including in oncology for the non-invasive therapy of tumors, and is valued for its precision and safety. Specially adapted to the tissue layers of the skin, more and more devices have been developed in recent years for use in aesthetics. Unlike conventional ultrasound devices used in cosmetics and physiotherapy, HIFU technology involves extreme focusing of sound waves at a predefined depth in the target tissue. This focusing enables a precise, brief heating of the target tissue to approx. 50 - 70 C°, limited to the so-called "focal point".
Application technology
The transducer built into the handpiece places a specific number of focal points in a row ("line") in the target tissue, e.g. in the subcutis, for each button press ("shot").
The depth at which the focal points are placed ("focal depth") depends on the transducer, i.e. a treatment attachment can only place the Line at a certain depth. To change the focal depth, a different attachment (cartridge) must be used.
Treatments of difficult regions such as the eye area, neck and arms with impressive results.
The HIFU results in targeted heating of the skin layers at different depths. There are 3 cartridges available for the face, with penetration depths of 1.5 mm, 3 mm and 4.5 mm.
In addition, 5 cartridges for the body, these have a penetration depth of 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 13 mm and 16 mm.
