Teeth whitening with LED light – how it works
Before treatment with the Teeth Whitening Pro device begins, the teeth are prepared with a teeth whitening gel. These gels contain active ingredients which are penetrated into the enamel with the help of the light from the Zahnbleaching Pro device. This is where the pigments that give the teeth their yellowish discolouration are found. The bleaching agents, which usually contain a small amount of hydrogen peroxide, trigger an oxidation process in the enamel. This means that oxygen is released, which in turn breaks down the pigments and restores the teeth to a gleaming white.
Three light colours with beneficial effects
Alongside many other advantages, our Zahnbleaching Pro device stands out thanks to its three light colours. Other devices are usually limited to blue LED light, but we’ve expanded this range to include two further colours: red and violet!
Blue light: For effective and rapid teeth whitening

Red light is known for its heat-generating properties and its ability to inhibit infection. The Zahnbleaching Pro device utilises this effect to treat sensitive teeth and gums. It has a soothing and irritation-reducing effect and inhibits the spread of bacterial infections.
Violet light: The ideal combination of both light colours
Just as, in colour theory, red is mixed with blue to produce violet, our device combines both light colours. In this way, it combines the beneficial effects of both colours and brings them together in a treatment that is particularly well-suited to customers with very sensitive teeth and gums.

As well as adjusting the colour and treatment duration – thanks to a handy timer function – you can also adjust the intensity of the light energy, unlike with many other teeth-whitening devices.
