How does laser hair removal work with the MD808 Pro Smart?

The MD808 Pro Smart works by targeting the natural pigment melanin, which is present in all hair colours (except grey/white). The laser beam emitted by the device is absorbed by the melanin and directed into the hair follicle. There, the laser energy creates a thermal effect that destroys the hair root and stops its activity. After a while, the hair falls out naturally without growing back.

As laser energy generally only affects hairs that are in the growth phase (anagen phase), several treatments are always required before complete hair removal is achieved.

The 808 nm wavelength of the MD808 Pro Smart has a high repetition rate and high average power, making it particularly effective. Thanks to its moderate absorption by melanin (the pigment responsible for skin colour), this wavelength makes it possible to treat even darker skin types (Fitzpatrick types I–V).

Is treatment with the MD808 Pro Smart comfortable?

The handpiece of the MD808 Pro Smart features integrated contact cooling, which intensively cools the laser spot. Contact with the skin noticeably lowers the temperature of the area being treated, making it less sensitive to pain. The person undergoing treatment experiences little to no pain.

Handy and compact – a well-thought-out design

As well as offering fast and highly effective hair removal, the compact and practical design of the MD808 Pro Smart is its biggest advantage: the lockable lid protects both the device and the handpiece from knocks and dirt. Measuring approximately 19 cm in height (43 cm with the lid open), 26 cm in width and 36 cm in depth, the device is extremely space-saving. Furthermore, the powerful laser weighs just around 7.5 kilograms, which makes it incredibly easy to transport. Thanks to these features, the laser is ideally suited not only for home use but also for mobile services!

The handpiece of the MD808 Pro Smart also features a practical design. The laser spot measures 8x15 mm, making it suitable for use on large areas such as the legs as well as smaller areas such as the underarms.
